I just returned from another trip to Las Vegas (the fourth one in the last nine months) to attend the annual AACEI conference. This is the conference to attend if you're interested in cost engineering and total cost management. Attendance was high with close to 800 participants. While it's not unusual to meet clients and prospects focused on buildings and facilities, the conference is best suited to the non-building sector: energy, process, infrastructure, etc.

After months of preparation, the Cost Engineering Event 2015 was held in the Netherlands on May 6-8. As the proud host of the event, Cost Engineering Consultancy reflects on a successful conference with interesting topics, great speakers, and a very positive atmosphere. With more than 200 cost engineering professionals from all over the world and from different industries attending, the conference provided great networking opportunities and a lot of stimulating discussions.
I just returned from a great trip to The Netherlands where I was a guest speaker at the Cost Engineering Event 2015. This bi-annual event has been going on for the last ten years and this was my first time attending. It’s a gathering of about 200-250 professionals from all over the world with the majority coming from Europe. This year’s event was focused on “closing the loop” with benchmarking being a dominant, recurring topic.
Our own Nick Papadopoulos, CEO of Eos Group, spoke about “Benchmarking for the Oil & Gas Market” last week at theCost Engineering Event 2015 – “Cost Estimating & Project Controls: Closing the Loop” hosted byCost Engineering Consultancy. Eos Group would like to thank CEC for organizing this event.
